Cyber-physical architecture is a new design approach for buildings and other structures that integrates the physical world with the digital one.

When setting up a cyber-physical system, you must optimize the following five components: computation, communication, connection, context, and contact. These components of the cyber-physical architecture are interconnected as they all interact in one system.

Computation: This component deals with the physical objects in the world. It has been designed to work with computers through digital data to process and make sense of the information it receives from the world.

Context: This component deals with defining location in terms of space, time, and other variables. It comprises physical objects, such as building infrastructure and devices that surround a computer system and share information with it.

Contact: This component deals with the physical connection between humans and computers. This is usually provided through touch screens, telephones, and keyboards.
